K3 originally is a flemish girl band with Dutch pop, sometimes referred to as childpop or ' bubblegum pop' , they are oriented towards a very young age audience. The name of the group referres to the first letters of the first names of the members, the flemish singers Karen Damen, Kristel Verbeke en Kathleen Aerts. The last of the three left the girl band in 2009. On october 3, 2009 the Dutch girl called Josje Huisman took her place after winning the talent show of K2 looking for K3. The music is produced by the production company Studio 100. Miguel Wiels writes the music for K3, together with his colleguages Alain Vande Putte and Peter Gillis. K3 was founded by Niels William.
